Welcome to The Trentonian's Thunder Report, a blog by Joshua Brett, beat writer for the Trenton Thunder, a AA Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the New York Yankees.
do you know how much money thunder minor league players get for making special starts for the new york yankees?
Marlboro:The typical Double-A salary is somewhere around $2,000-$2,500 a month. If a player was a very high draft pick and got a signing bonus to match, they may earn considerably more than that. But that's the starting point for players at this level. If they're on the Yankees' 40-man roster, their salary increases even more for however long they're on there. If they get called up to the major leagues, they earn at least the major league minimum ($380,000 a year), prorated for the amount of time they're up there.
